Low-Tech punk disco that’ll piss mothers off. There you go. That sounds interesting right? Check ‘em out…live if possible. That’s where they really shine. –Humphrey Dexter

28 Degrees Taurus
http://www.myspace.com/28degreestaurus
Like some sort of psychedelic tidal wave rising from dark waters, 28 Degrees Taurus’s brand of liquid shoegaze oozes an aura of mystery, danger, and reckless abandon. Jinsen Liu’s textured and Eastern music-influenced guitar playing flows through the cavernous walls of Karina Dacosta and Greg Murphy’s driving bass and drums, and merge with Decosta and Liu’s soothing pop vocals to create a sound and aesthetic that owes as much to My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive as it does to 60’s pop. From the dense and nuanced guitar work and ominous vocals of “Low Light” and “Endless Sea,” to the hook-laden “Aquarian Love”, 28 Degrees Taurus present a sound that is both delicate and violent, nihilistic yet romantic, and a near-perfect aural projection of chaotic internal emotion.
